5 Ways to Alkalize Your Body’s pH

pH is a running theme this past month in here! But I want to emphasize how very important pH is to our health and our ability to fight pathogens like Candida. So, I’m going to give you 5 easy ways to raise (alkalize) your body’s pH that are very easy to do.

1  Squeeze the lemon!

Drink 16 oz of water with the juice of ½ a lemon every morning. This will help to alkalize your body and get your digestive juices flowing for the day, not to mention the beautiful things it will do for your detox organs. It’s a win – win – win!

2 Eat your greens!

The more leafy greens you eat, the better! This will help to alkalize you body, feed your beneficial gut bacteria, bulk up your stool and push it along out your back door, and nourish your cells.

3 De-stress!

Easier said than done, I know! But stress lowers the body’s pH (making it more acidic). A good way to do this is by doing some guided meditation. My favorite guided meditation app (free) is Insight Timer.

Or do some yoga with an awesome guide, like my fav YouTube yoga teacher, Adrienne. Find her on Yoga with Adrienne! She is fun and goofy and right up my alley. And she is NOT a yoga drill instructor. She allows for all different body types and abilities to still have a useful experience. Plus, she makes me laugh and sings songs from my childhood. I love goofy peeps!

4 Quit it with the coffee!

Coffee increases acid in the body and messes with cortisol levels which actually drains energy in the long run.

Instead, try this amazing recipe for Golden Turmeric Hot Chocolate. The turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory. So yummy for the tummy!

Golden Turmeric Hot Chocolate


1 tbsp Cacao Powder

1/4 tsp Turmeric (dried, ground)

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

1 1/2 tsp Coconut Butter

1/2 tsp honey (or stevia to taste or no sweetener) I prefer this without sweetener

1 cup Water (hot)

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

Add the cacao powder, turmeric, cinnamon, coconut butter, honey, hot water and almond milk to a blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

Transfer to a mug and enjoy!

5 Add alkalizing minerals to your filtered water

When we filter our water, which we should do to get rid of all the thyroid damaging chlorine and fluoride, we’re also filtering out any alkalizing minerals that may have been in there.

You can add sea salt to your water, but you do run the chance of getting a little too much sodium.

A preferred way to add minerals to water is by using Concentrace Mineral Drops. Just add a few drops to every glass of water. You’re getting the hydrating and alkalizing power of minerals!

After a few weeks of doing these healthy habits, you’ll be surprised how much your pH will improve!
